Disposal of Dead Chickens Advisory
The Department of Department of Agriculture (DoA) and Department of Environmental Health (DEH) advises the public NOT to dispose of dead or dying birds and poultry in regular garbage bins.
All cases must be reported to the DoA’s Avian Influenza Hotline at 916-7146, 947-3090 (press 0), or submit the Poultry Health Report online at: https://arcg.is/10jfDP1.
Reporting all cases is essential for tracking, testing and to safeguard the community.
