The Cayman Islands Poultry Standards Layer Operation (CIPS-LO_ establishes the approved standards for local egg operation in the Cayman Islands. The standards are government-supported and include:
- Production standards that are geared to increase egg production
- Environment and animal welfare standards to comply with the relevant Cayman Islands legislation including, but not limited to, Public Health Act, Animal Act, Veterinary Act and Planning Act. this is to promote the security and safety of the birds, and offer buys and consumers a higher quality and safer product.
- Marketing standards that offer great access to markets for local eggs, increase traceability, and more information to the consumer.
