Dear Livestock Farmers,
Doa’s Veterinary Team reminds all livestock farmers to ensure public health, food safety, and animal welfare prior and during the mandatory antemortem (pre-slaughter) inspection at DOA’s Abattoir.
Animals displaying clinical signs of disease, severe injury, or systemic distress will not be accept for slaughter. Farmers are encouraged to pre-screen animals before transport and avoid bringing compromised or visibly ill animals to the abattoir.
For important guidance on clinical signs that may result in animal rejection and what farmers can do, please read the flyer from the link provided.
