New Import Conditions for Poinsettia Plants from the USA
The Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce that new import conditions are now in effect for Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) plants originating from approved states in the United States recognized as free from quarantine pests of concern.
These updated measures developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, allow for the safe trade of Poinsettia plants while protecting the Cayman Islands’ agriculture and environment from the introduction of regulated pests and diseases.
Importers are encouraged to:
Review the updated import conditions carefully
Liaise with suppliers in approved states
Plan timely imports ahead of the holiday season
