FARM LABOURER CAYMAN BRAC
The Department of Agriculture seeks an individual to carry out a wide range of tasks at the Department of Agriculture’s experimental station, shade house, nursery and office complex in Cayman Brac as well as limited off-station duties relating to crop husbandry and livestock services as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate with basic knowledge in agriculture.
- Must have at least three (3) years’ work experience in a nursery, shade house and/or farm.
- Experience in the care and maintenance of Cattle, Goats and Pigs.
- Experience in the humane slaughtering of Cattle, Goats and Pigs
- Experience in Artificial Insemination of Cows, Goats and Pigs.
- Training and experience in the application of pesticides.
- Must be trainable.
- Must have a good work attitude and be a team player.
- Must be able to accurately record data, complete forms and comprehend written instructions and recording sheets.
- Must have a pleasant personality and be able to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
SALARY
$30,312 – $39,780

HORTICULTURAL ASSISTANT CAYMAN BRAC
We seek an individual to perform routine tasks that involve the care of seedlings, tree crop husbandry and plant propagation as well as carrying out a wide range of tasks at the plant nursery and experimental station
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
· High school graduate with knowledge of agriculture.
- Must have at least three (3) years practical experience in nursery/farm work experience including plant propagation, establishment and care of tree crops, bananas and vegetables.
- Must have a good work attitude and be a team player.
- Must have a pleasant personality and be able to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
- Experience with the use and maintenance of small farm equipment is essential i.e. motorized sprayers, saws, etc.
SALARY $30,312 – $39,780
