National Farm Animals Awareness Week: Sept 21-27
This week, the Department of Agriculture reminds all farmers to prioritize the health and safety of their livestock. 🌾🐄🐑
As we transition into the rainy season, it’s crucial to ensure your animals are kept dry and safe to prevent illness and accidents. Here are a few key tips:
🌧️ Rainy Season Care:
- Provide well-drained, covered shelter to keep animals dry.
- Regularly inspect pens and enclosures for any flooding risks.
- Ensure clean, dry bedding to reduce sickness and discomfort.
☀️ Warm Weather Care:
- Offer plenty of shade and cool, fresh water to prevent heat stress.
- Schedule activity during cooler parts of the day to avoid overheating.
- Monitor your animals for signs of dehydration or heatstroke.
