Protecting the Cayman Islands from Invasive Pests Starts With YOU

The Agricultural Health Inspection Services (AHIS) plays a critical role in safeguarding our borders, farms, environment, and food security.
Every plant, animal, and agricultural product entering the Cayman Islands must meet strict requirements to prevent the introduction of invasive pests and diseases.
If you are importing agricultural products, you MUST follow these steps:
✅ Step 1: Know the Laws
Understand the regulations that govern the importation of plants, animals, seeds, soil, and other agricultural items.
✅ Step 2: Follow Import Procedures
Ensure you obtain the necessary permits and approvals before shipping any agricultural goods.
✅ Step 3: Make a Full Declaration
Declare ALL agricultural items to Customs and Border Control upon arrival, even if unsure. Transparency protects our islands.
✅ Step 4: Present Goods for Inspection
All agricultural products must be presented for inspection at official ports of entry.
Failure to comply can result in fines, seizure of goods, or introduction of harmful pests that threaten Cayman’s agriculture and natural ecosystems.
🌱 Together, we can protect our farmers, our food supply, and our environment.
