The black sapote tree can grow up to 30-40 feet in height. The leaves are leathery, oblong, tapered at the edges and dark green in color. The tree produces fruits that are in season from August to December. The fruits are ready to harvest when the skins have turned from a shiny green to a dull, muddy green.
