The culantro tree typically grows 1 to 2 ft tall. When gathering fresh leaves to use in the kitchen, cut the larger outer leaves individually. For a longer life span of the plant, grow it in the spring and cut off the flower stalk when it appears in order to encourage continued leafy growth.
