Livestock Registration OPEN – Register before February 26

Attention Livestock Farmers!

Registration for livestock is open, please register your animals as soon as possible for the Agriculture show.

All completed registration forms must be returned to the Department of Agriculture’s Main Office at 181 Lottery Road, Lower Valley, or emailed to agriculture@gov.ky, before Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

Registration forms can be collected from the following Department of Agriculture locations or personnel:

1️⃣     DoA Veterinarians, Livestock Extension Officer, or Veterinary Technician
2️⃣     DoA Warehouse and Sales Office
3️⃣     DoA Main Office
4️⃣     Mr. Clifford Powery Butcher Shop

Important Deadlines: 

• Registration Deadline is WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26th.
• Livestock Collection Begins March 3^rd through March 4^th
• Last animals to be collected by 8pm on March 4^th
• Animals to be returned March 6^th

 

Livestock Tagging available:

• For Free livestock tagging, call Mrs. Terata Ames directly at 916-7146

 

Important reminders:

• Animals should not be moved prior to show closure, in accordance with public safety protocols
• Sick animals and animals with ectoparasites (e.g. ticks, lice, mites) are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification
• Free veterinary care will be available for animals on grounds
