📢 Upcoming Closure Notices – Stay Informed!
The Department of Agriculture wishes to remind the public and our valued farmers of the following upcoming notices:
- Monday, May 4th – Emancipation Day (Public Holiday) – All GCM and CYB offices Closed – The Department encourages all farmers to stock up on agricultural supplies and livestock feed in advance of the long holiday weekend.
- Thursday, May 7th – Poultry Husbandry & Avian Influenza Awareness meeting in Cayman Brac at the Heritage House, Spot Bay. - Saturday, May 9th – DoA’s Plant Clinic Pop-up Event – Bring your plant samples, questions, concerns for diagnosis and receive expert advice. Location and Time: Stay tuned….details coming soon!
- Monday, May 11th – DoA’s Veterinary Services Closure notice – The Abattoir Ruminant Drop-Off Closes at 12noon (Please ensure cattle and goats are dropped off before 12noon), and the Animal Pound will also close at 12noon. To facilitate staff training.
- Tuesday, May 12th – International Day of Plant Health – Biosecurity for Food Security event – Location and Time: Stay tuned….details coming soon!
