Spiral Whitefly Intervention β District Spraying Schedule Update and Clarification
The Department of Agriculture wishes to clarify an earlier message regarding the Spiral Whitefly Spraying Intervention.
This free spraying initiative is specifically for residential backyard gardens only, particularly for homeowners experiencing severe spiral whitefly infestations affecting:
- Coconut trees
- Guava trees
- Banana and plantain trees
π± Please note:
This programme is not applicable to commercial farms or registered commercial farmers.
For commercial farmers, tree crop management and spraying will be handled separately under the Departmentβs Commercial Tree Husbandry Programme, with scheduling to be communicated directly.
Other Pest Reports
If you are experiencing issues with pests such as:
- Aphids
- Mealybugs
- Scales
- Leafhoppers
- Other plant pests
These reports will be logged and addressed by the appropriate team.
