The Department of Agriculture advises livestock/equine farmers, as well as members of the public travelling with pets, to expect delays in veterinary service responses between August and October 2026 due to staffing constraints.
This may affect requests relating to:
- Response to emergency large animal cases
- Veterinary Herd Health Extensions Services
- Veterinary Pregnancy Checks
- Import and Export paperwork endorsements of Domestic Pets, Livestock, etc.
Please continue to submit all requests through the appropriate channels. Our team will response and provide assistance at their earliest convenience.
