To all Livestock Farmers, “It’s time once again for the Department of Agriculture Livestock Census. This year the census takes on an electronic format, which will make the data collection process easy and efficient.
How will the census this year work?
- The census will go by district to each livestock farmer, similar to data collected for CI-ABIS
- A representative from DoA will contact all Livestock Farmers and ask to meet at your farm
- At the farm, Farmers are asked to have the information needed for DoA personnel to input in the tablet
- A minimum of 2 photos will be taken of your farm
- The farm owner or their representative will be asked to sign the survey
- DoA personnel will also sign the survey and submit for verification
