DoA Veterinary Services Christmas Notice
It’s already beginning to look, smell, and sound a lot like Christmas, and once again, we are pleased to offer an extra 7-days validity for health certificates, extending their ‘lifespan’ from 14 days to 21 days.
This 7-day extension facilitates a less burdensome and hectic experience for staff, clients, vet clinics, and brokers alike given office closures and inclement weather factors during the holiday season.
The dates for the 2023-2024 season are December 15, 2023 to January 5, 2024, meaning that any health certificate issued within this timeframe will be valid for 21 days.
To benefit from this extension:
1. Only applicable to pets who have met DoA’s import requirements in full
2. Clients and local Veterinarian must indicate the extension request on your export health certificate by emailing our department at ci.agricultureVS@gov.ky requesting the extension.
